Return & Exchange Policy

Hairpiece Warehouse wants customers to inspect their order promptly upon receipt and contact us right away if there is an issue. Because many of our products are customized, hygiene-sensitive, or permanently altered through services, not all items are eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

This Return & Exchange Policy explains which items may be returned or exchanged, the timeframes that apply, and the conditions that must be met.

1. Inspect Your Order Promptly

Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it.

Any concerns regarding size, base type, density, color, or other visible specification issues must be reported to Hairpiece Warehouse within 7 days of delivery. This applies to both stock and custom hair systems.

For approved stock returns or exchanges, the return shipment must be sent back within 30 days of delivery.

For custom orders, any eligible issue must be reported within the required timeframe so that corrective measures can be reviewed.

2. Stock Hair Systems

Stock hair systems may be eligible for return or exchange if all of the following conditions are met:

  • the request is made within 30 days of delivery

  • the unit is in original, unaltered condition

  • the unit has not been cut, brushed, washed, worn, taped, glued, dyed, colored, chemically treated, permed, thinned, trimmed, re-bleached, damaged, or otherwise altered

  • the original packaging, tags, plastic mold or form, and any included accessories are returned with the unit

If the customer chooses a return for an eligible stock unit:

  • a $15 restocking fee will apply

  • original shipping charges are non-refundable

  • the customer is responsible for return shipping costs

If the customer chooses an exchange for an eligible stock unit:

  • the $15 restocking fee is waived

  • the customer is responsible for shipping the original unit back to Hairpiece Warehouse

  • Hairpiece Warehouse will cover the outbound shipping cost of the replacement stock unit

  • exchanges may be made for another stock item, and any price difference will be charged or refunded accordingly

3. Stock Units Not Eligible for Return or Exchange

Stock units are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund if they have been:

  • cut

  • brushed

  • washed

  • worn

  • taped or glued

  • dyed or colored

  • chemically treated

  • permed

  • thinned

  • trimmed

  • re-bleached

  • damaged

  • altered in any way

Hairpiece Warehouse reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange request if the product is unsanitary, significantly worn, damaged, altered, incomplete, or otherwise not in eligible condition for resale.

4. Custom Hair Systems

Custom hair systems are made to the customer’s requested specifications and are non-refundable.

Because custom systems are made specifically for one customer, they are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange for reasons such as change of mind, normal production variation, or customer-submitted specification errors.

If Hairpiece Warehouse confirms a manufacturing defect or order error, the remedy will be repair, correction, adjustment, or remake at our discretion. No cash refund will be issued for custom orders.

If defects are verified, Hairpiece Warehouse may:

  • require the system to be returned for correction, adjustment, repair, or remake

  • offer one of our Stock Hair Systems at cost

5. Customer Specification Errors on Custom Orders

If a custom order issue results from specifications provided by the customer, including but not limited to size, base type, density, color, curl pattern, or other selected options, the order is not refundable.

In those situations, Hairpiece Warehouse may, at its discretion, offer a remake, adjustment, or other corrective option at a reduced price.

6. Production Tolerances and Non-Defect Variations

Because hair systems are handmade and involve natural materials and manual production processes, minor variations may occur and do not necessarily constitute a defect.

These may include slight variations in:

  • color tone

  • density

  • curl or wave pattern

  • ventilation

  • hair direction

  • base appearance

  • dimensions within reasonable manufacturing tolerance

7. Services

All service items are final sale.

This includes, without limitation:

  • base cut

  • haircut

  • thinning

  • perm

  • color

  • bleached knots

  • repair

  • any other service performed on a unit

Once a unit has been permanently altered through a service, it is not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

8. Supplies

All supplies are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

The only exception is if Hairpiece Warehouse shipped the wrong item by mistake. In that case, please contact us promptly so we can review and correct the issue.

9. Shedding, Wear, and Product Lifespan

Hair systems are cosmetic products with a finite lifespan. Normal shedding, wear, and changes that occur over time through use, attachment, washing, styling, maintenance, environmental exposure, or handling do not qualify a unit for return, exchange, or refund.

Once a unit has been worn or altered, it is not eligible for return, exchange, or refund due to shedding or normal wear.

10. Return Shipping and Exchange Shipping

Unless Hairpiece Warehouse made an error, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs for approved returns and exchanges.

For approved exchanges of eligible stock units:

  • the customer pays to return the original unit to Hairpiece Warehouse

  • Hairpiece Warehouse pays the outbound shipping cost for the replacement unit

For approved returns of eligible stock units:

  • the customer pays return shipping

  • original shipping charges are non-refundable

  • the $15 restocking fee applies

For wrong-item shipments caused by Hairpiece Warehouse, we will review and provide instructions to correct the issue.

11. Return Authorization and Review

Hairpiece Warehouse may require photos, order details, or the return of the product for inspection before approving any return, exchange, correction, or other remedy.

Returned items must be packaged securely and include the original packaging materials where required. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as Hairpiece Warehouse is not responsible for returns lost in transit back to us.

12. Refusal of Ineligible Returns or Exchanges

Hairpiece Warehouse reserves the right to refuse any return, exchange, or corrective request if:

  • the item was reported outside the applicable timeframe

  • the item was worn, washed, altered, or damaged

  • the item is unsanitary

  • the item is missing original packaging, tags, mold, form, or included components

  • the claim is based on normal wear, normal shedding, or non-defect production variation

  • the request involves abuse, misuse, fraud, or misrepresentation
